Rowena Montojo-Weiss, is an Autonomous Practice, board-certified advanced practice family nurse practitioner. She specializes in primary care, and has been providing concierge medical services. With over 20 years of hospital critical nursing experience, she was in the forefront during the healthcare crisis. She practiced as a primary care provider. In this role, she worked with patients to improve their health outcomes but came to learn that change is hard, even in the face of real dire risk to health and happiness and that current mainstream treatments are not the only answer.

She realized that patients using prescription drugs continue to suffer and develop new adverse health concerns from drug side effects. Working in corporate healthcare, she felt she had become a “manager of disease”. This motivated her to seek new solutions, which she found in Functional Medicine and Health Coaching. She has completed training programs in Anti-Aging, Pain Management, Aesthetics, Weight Loss, Peptides, Nutrition, Supplementation and IV Therapy. She combines her training and her coaching skills to help clients make real, positive changes towards healthier and happier lives. She is constantly seeking new opportunities to optimize health and promote wellness. She is a lifelong learner and is currently taking courses in primary care and functional medicine. She plans on completing her doctorate in nursing practice.

She earned her Masters degree at South University. She was born and raised in the Philippines where she earned her Bachelor's Degree at San Pedro College. She ranked 5th in the Philippine National Board exam which paved the way for her teaching career. She was a clinical instructor and a board exam reviewer. She moved to the US to work at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore and got her Critical Care Training at Johns Hopkins. She received the STAR Employee award in her first year there. She has been working for Advent Health Celebration for over 18 years. She has been recognized with the Nursing Excellence, Patient Care Champion, ABC and DAISY award. She has been working in primary care.

She is a person with varied interests. She enjoys music, dancing, and cooking. She practices Pilates, breathwork, yoga and meditation. She also takes courses on personal growth and transformational wisdom through MindValley. She is also a voracious reader and an avant garde poetry-writer. She is writing a children's book about kids with special needs as an anti-bullying campaign and is planning to publish it soon.

Regarding her approach to patients and their families, she is committed to providing safe, astute, and quality care. Her goal is focused on optimizing health and wellness for her patients. She understands Spanish and is fluent in English, Tagalog, Visayan and ASL (American Sign Language).
